Ferrisburg day is this Saturday. The Vergennes train station will hold an open house from 1-3 pm. Come check out your new Amtrak stop (starting early next year). It’s at the Ferrisburg Park and Ride where Route 7 meets 22A
At 2:00 pm there will be an Operation Lifesaver presentation on railroad crossing safety by Toni Clithero, head of Operation Lifesaver in Vermont who is also in charge of the state’s Amtrak contract.
I expect to be there s well as Vergenne Representative (and new VRAN board member) Diane Lanpher. Please come! We’d love to answer questions, talk about the station, talk about rail in Vermont. The station has been beautifully restored and is worth seeing.
