Because it will take up to 3 months to bring back furloughed crews and ready equipment, we have to think about this now. We want the train there when people start traveling.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t (yet) seem that any action has been taken to think ahead and get things moving. Thus, this request. Thanks for your nudge.
This morning the New York Times ran a story predicting $4 a gallon gas this summer. If so, we will REALLY need the train! I don’t know about you, but I’m itching to travel, just as soon as I can, and I want the train to be there. More importantly, we want to make the state available for the commerce that train riding visitors create. And we want to encourage travelers to minimize their pollution and climate-change impacts.
